Pacific Marine Research (PMR) is a Seattle based 501(c)(3), non-profit educational organization dedicated to furthering people’s understanding of and connection to Puget Sound and its watershed. PMR’s mission is to instill respect and appreciation for Puget Sound by communicating principals of environmental awareness and stewardship. We strive to inspire observation of, involvement in, and care for Puget Sound. PMR is supported solely by private foundation grants and user fees. Donations and scholarships are encouraged, and are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

We are proud to have served over 125,000 students since our inception in 1984. Our existence can be attributed to two things: support of people like you who donate time and money to our organization and the passion of our board members and staff. Combined, these two factors have made Pacific Marine Research into one of the most respected marine science youth organizations in the region.
